Introducing Weathercloud 12

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of version 12 of Weathercloud, which brings exciting new features that many of you have been eagerly anticipating!

🌤️ Local Weather Forecasts

With Weathercloud 12, devices now feature local weather forecasts for the coming days, based on realiable official data sources such as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). This update ensures that you are informed not only about the current weather conditions reported by the device but also about future forecasts. This enables you to plan your outdoor activities with confidence, whether it’s a weekend hike or a day at the beach.

Local forecasts are conveniently displayed on the Profile page of each device and within the device infobox on the Map page. On the Profile page, you can check the percentage of rain probability by simply hovering over the rainy day icons. While some devices may not yet show local forecasts, we are actively working on integrating additional data sources to expand this capability in the near future.

🔗 Compatibility with AirLink

In addition to local weather forecasts, we are pleased to introduce compatibility with the AirLink air quality sensor from Davis Instruments. This innovative sensor measures particle concentrations of PM2.5, and PM10, providing you with valuable insights into air quality.

Monitoring air quality is crucial for maintaining good health, particularly for individuals with respiratory conditions such as asthma or allergies. High levels of particulate matter can aggravate these issues, making it essential to stay informed. If you have an AirLink sensor and a paid plan with Weathercloud, you can now seamlessly monitor air quality data alongside any other extra sensors you may have.

🔔 Notification System

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new notification system on Weathercloud! This feature is designed to keep you updated with pop-up alerts on your dashboard for new features, improvements, scheduled maintenance, special promotions, and more. It’s our goal to ensure you stay informed and make the most of all Weathercloud has to offer. Keep an eye out for these notifications and enjoy a more seamless and connected experience!

🚀 Enhance Your Weather Experience

We believe these enhancements will significantly improve your experience with Weathercloud, making it an even more powerful tool for both weather and air quality monitoring. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us shape future updates, so we encourage you to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates, and thank you for being a part of the Weathercloud community! 💙

    Hello,
It has been brought to my attention that my device is sending too many requests to Weathercloud. How do I rectify that in simple terms? My “bandwidth” is getting narrower as I approach age 70.
    Thank you.

Hi Keith, the data transmission interval depends on the weather software used to upload data to Weathercloud. For Basic and Plus devices, the interval is 10 minutes, while for Pro and Premium devices, it is 1 minute. If you are the developer of the software, please refer to our API documentation for detailed instructions on how to properly configure the transmission interval. Thank you.
