Weathercloud Beta 9.5 is Here

Weathercloud Beta 9.5

Today we’re pleased to announce the release of Weathercloud Beta 9.5!

This minor update brings a totally renovated Sticker, a new Agro (Frost) advanced dashboard, the Moon and Midgnight dashboard color themes, and daily weather reports.

New Weathercloud Sticker

The new Sticker available for all Weathercloud users has been redesigned from scratch in order to fit more information thanks to a better use of space and to make it look more modern and crisp, especially on high-resolution displays.

In addition to all the data already included in the previous version, the Sticker now also displays the city, the feels like temperature and the present weather icon, with the background color of the Sticker dynamically changing depending on it. We have also replaced the date of last update with the time since the last update and added the Pro and Business badge to maintain consistency with the rest of the site.

Below are some examples of the new Sticker:

The Sticker is an excellent way to share your current weather data on external sites such as Internet forums, blogs or your own personal webpage. To obtain the code of your Sticker, you just need to sign in to Weathercloud, go to the Devices page and click on Get Sticker in the Settings drop-down menu, as shown below:

New Advanced Dashboard and Color Themes

Beta 9.5 brings all Business users a new Agro (Frost) advanced dashboard as well as the Moon and Midnight color themes for even greater customization.

Below is a summary of all the different dashboards and themes currently included in the Business plan, with more on the way:

Marine

The Marine dashboard is specially designed for users who require real-time information about the current wind in the area, such as sailing and yacht clubs, parasailing and surf spots or construction sites. Besides the current weather conditions, including instantaneous wind speed and direction among others, the dashboard shows the 10-minute average wind speed and wind gust values both in the selected units and in Beaufort scale. Additionally, a graph displays the evolution of the wind in the last hours.

Agro (ET)

The Agro (ET) dashboard is aimed at farmers and growers who need ET and rain data at a glance. Both values are displayed in numerical and graphical format for easy interpretation. Each graph shows the cumulative daily value of the corresponding variable for the present and the last 7 days, as well as the total amount. Other important variables such as temperature, humidity, dew point and wind are also displayed.

Agro (Frost)

The Agro (Frost) dashboard features an evolution graph of temperature and humidity in the last 12 hours, which provides vital information to prevent frost on crops and for other applications susceptible to be affected by freezing conditions. The dashboard also displays information about other weather variables that are also important in agriculture, such as wind, rain, dew point, solar radiation and ET.

Don’t forget that you can also customize other aspects of the dashboard besides the color theme, including the profile picture displayed in the upper left corner, the language and the units of measurement. In this post, we show how you can use URL parameters to force the language and units for the visitors of your dashboard.

Daily weather reports

In addition to the monthly weather reports, Pro and Business users can now also generate daily reports and easily print them to PDF or to paper from the Reports page.

Daily weather report

We have also added the ability to quickly generate reports in any of the 11 available languages without needing to change the language at account level. This feature is especially useful if you are providing your reports to people or organizations that speak a different language than yours.

Other minor enhancements

  • Added the GARNI 940 to the list of compatible devices.
  • Updated the Pro Weather Link instructions page.
  • Improved FAQ page with more complete information sorted into categories.

We hope you enjoy the new features included in Beta 9.5 and we look forward to your comments and suggestions.

Thank you for your continued support and stay tuned for more to come!

How much do u charge. US dollar per. montj

Is this available on the app store for iPhone/iPad? I can’t find it.

  3. Two questions:
I have the Pro account for my FineOffset WH2310 station:
    1) Why is no Radiation/UV shown on the HTML Reports and no UV on the PDF report ?
    2) How can I debug why WeatherCloud is consistently failing to log *most* Light and UV data points even though I have at least 96% upload success each month and all other counters record almost *every* expected plot-point?

    • Weathercloud says:

      Hi Colin,

Thank you for using Weathercloud and for upgrading to the Pro plan.

      1) There are currently 2 different types of PDF report available. Please make sure you select the second type, which includes solar radiation. UV radiation is currently not included but may be added in a future update.

      2) We display the same data we receive from your third-party desktop weather software or mobile app.

  4. Hi Guys,

I love Weathercloud – congrats on a great product. I have been using it for a number of years. (https://app.weathercloud.net/d0218650882#profile).

Is there any chance you would consider including unlimited life data and the dashboards in the Pro plan? Sure, the business plan has that but at EU15 a month it is quite a lot for amateurs to pay. With unlimited data and dashboards, that may drive a lot of the current amateur users to PRO users paying EU5 a month! I know i would.

    Thanks for considering my request.

    Calvin.

      Yes, too expensive for amateurs.
I’m trying to build an exclusively Portuguese map (+/- 30 stations) and I don’t have the web skills to program.
I have had contacts with the support and their answer is very vague so I can add stations (other Portuguese) to my eventual PRO or Business account.
      I am willing to pay 180€ for a use for a group of enthusiasts but not 180€ x 30 or 60€ x 30!
